Markstay-Warren Challenge the Champ

Hello to all,

Well, even with large weather movement dumping all kinds of snow in Ontario this past few days, somehow it has managed to avoid the Markstay-Warren area all together. Having received rain for almost 20 hours straight earlier this week, the trail was in desperate need of a large quantity of snow which didn’t come. Unfortunately, the committee will have no choice but to cancel the 2nd Annual Markstay Warren Challenge the Champ Sled Dog race. With the property looking like a huge skating rink, there is just no way that this race could happen within the next few weeks.

At this time, I wish to thank all the volunteers who have worked so hard on this event, and those who made themselves available to assist during the weekend. I also want to thank all the land owners and the community citizens and officials of Markstay Warren for all their support.

Hopefully Mother Nature will be more cooperative next year. Good luck to all of you for any future racing and I hope that we can continue to communicate during the off-season. Looking forward to seeing some of you at our NOSDC Spring meeting.
